Princess Charlotte tells Prince George ‘you have to bow down’ during Queen Elizabeth’s funeral

At 7 years old, Princess Charlotte knows a lot about royal protocol.

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s only daughter waits with older brother Prince George at Wellington Arch for his great-grandmother’s coffin To visit him at the state funeral on Monday. During a moment that went viral on social media, Charlotte was seen telling 9-year-old George what to do when the moment came.

In a video captured by Access Hollywood, Charlotte is telling George, “You need to bow down,” while her brother, who is second in line to the throne, listens intently.

This isn’t the first time Charlotte has given instructions on royal behavior. Charlotte stood on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with George and his younger brother Prince Louis, 4, during their Platinum Jubilee in June.

As the national anthem “God Save the Queen” was played, George put his hand on the edge of the balcony. Charlotte was seen gently scraping her older brother’s arm and asking him to correct his posture. Without hesitation, George quickly corrected himself by standing up straight and placing his arms next to him.

During the Trooping the Color parade, Louis excitedly waved to the crowd, before Charlotte attempted to stop him by grabbing his hand and placing him on her lap.

The Queen, who celebrated 70 years on the throne this year, died on 8 september At Balmoral Castle in Scotland. She was 96 years old.

For the funeral service, Charlotte wore a diamond horseshoe brooch on the left side of her black coat, honoring the Queen’s great love of horses. According to People magazine, the brooch was gifted to Charlotte by the Queen herself.

Louis, who was probably deemed too young to attend the service, was not present with his family.

Elizabeth was laid to rest with her husband and parents in an intimate ceremony in Windsor away from media cameras.

King Charles III and senior members of the royal family Private intercessors gathered late Monday for a private intercession ceremony at St George’s Chapel, a Gothic church on the grounds of Windsor Castle, which has hosted royal weddings, christenings and burials since the 15th century.

Earlier on Monday, 800 mourners, many of whom were staff of the Queen, joined members of the Royal Family at the chapel for a Commemorative Service – the last public ceremony to mark the 10 days of national mourning that took place in London. There were huge military parades, miles of long queues. The Queen’s coffin lay in the kingdom, and was Britain’s first state funeral since the death of former Prime Minister Winston Churchill in 1965.

In contrast, late Monday night conversations were on a more intimate scale. Royal officials said it was a “deeply personal family occasion” and proceedings were not televised. He said the Queen was buried alongside Prince Philip’s remains in the King George VI Memorial Chapel, an annex within St George’s.
